Lunar New Year Celebrations!
As we celebrate the Year of the Dragon on Saturday 10th February and welcome the Lunar New Year, prepare for a roaring good time here at Prince Bishops Place!
Lion Dance at Prince Bishops
Watch in awe as the majestic lion dance weaves its way around Prince Bishops Place and through the streets of Durham City, all led by the beat of traditional drums, bringing luck and fortune to our shoppers for the year ahead. The lion dance procession will be joined by the lion dance team from West Rainton Primary School.
The procession starts on Millennium Place, near Gala Durham at 12:30pm, making its way to Prince Bishops Place shortly afterwards. Arrive early to secure the best spot!
Block Printing Workshop
Mark the Lunar New Year with some FREE activities here at Prince Bishops Place. Enjoy a block printmaking workshop with Pui Lee. This activity takes place on Saturday 10th February, 10:30 – 15:30 here at Prince Bishops, located in Unit 37, opposite Superdrug.
