We’re inviting visitors to enjoy some free family fun this Easter!
Bertie’s Easter Treasure Trail
Dates: Monday 11th April – Sunday 24th April
Families will be able to pick up a free treasure trail sheet from Bertie’s Play Barn or the Easter Craft Cabin. The centre’s mascot, Bertie the dragon, has hidden 10 dragon eggs around the centre, and children will be challenged to find them. Families can return their sheet to receive an Easter treat!
Easter Craft Cabin
Families will also have the chance to take part in the free activities that will be hosted in the Easter Craft Cabin next to The Co-operative Bank at Prince Bishops Place.
Dates : Monday 11th April – Friday 15th April
The team from Bertie’s Play Barn, will be running free crafts and games 11am-4pm. On Wednesday 13th April the centre will be joined by Animal Story, who will run their Animal Encounters session. Animal Story will bring over 30 creatures where families can enjoy hands-on experiences with the animals.
Dates: Tuesday 19th April – Friday 22nd April
Retailer Elvet and Bailey will be running free Spring and Jubilee themed activities as follows;
Tuesday 19th April – Seed Bomb Making Session & Easter Basket and Decoration Making
Wednesday 20th April – Spring Themed Wooden Decoration Painting
Thursday 21st April – Jubilee Themed Collage Art Session to be displayed in the centre on the Jubilee weekend
Friday 22nd April- Junk Modelling
Booking these sessions is advised in order to guarantee a slot which can be done here, however we will try to cater for as many drop-ins as possible.
The Treetops Children’s Ward Fundraising
Visitors will also have the chance to make a voluntary donation to raise funds for The Treetops Children’s Ward at the University Hospital of North Durham. Over £1,800 was raised through customer’s generous donations during the festive period, so Prince Bishops Place would like to continue this success over Easter.
