OPEN TODAY FROM 9am-5.30pm

Are you ready to see what jazz really looks like?

At the Durham Jazz Festival Gallery in Prince Bishops Place, a free-to-enter photography exhibition by award-winning Durham photographer John Lyons is on show now until Sunday 25th October.

‘The Space Between the Notes’ brings together photographs taken at Birdland in New York, The Jazz Café in London, and The Spotted Cat in New Orleans, alongside images of jazz legends like Ron Carter and Billy Cobham.

John Lyons won the Live Music category at the inaugural Abbey Road Music Photography Awards in 2022, and this exhibition has been updated to include several artists performing at this year’s Durham Jazz Festival.

So if you love live music and photography, come and visit the exhibition at Prince Bishops Place while you can!
