Visit Santa Claus at Prince Bishops Place!
Santa Claus is coming to town, Prince Bishops Place, to be exact! Meet the big guy himself inside his cosy Lodge filled with sacks of presents for the good children of Durham City. Santa’s cheeky elves will be on hand for fun, Christmas giggles and selfies!
Santa’s Lodge is located inside the Discovering Durham store, next to Bertie’s Play Village. Visitors to Santa can extend their stay with a visit to Bertie’s.
Santa Visit Prices and Timings
All visits will cost £4.00 per child. No pre-booking required. Children will receive an age-appropriate unwrapped gift.
From Saturday 25th November
- 11:00am-4:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays
- 12:00pm-4:00pm on Sundays
From Friday 15th December
Visit Santa Claus from 11:00am-4:00pm every day and 12:00pm-4:00pm on Sundays, all the way up to and including Christmas Eve.
Magical Sleigh Ride VR
Climb aboard our Magical Sleigh Ride VR, led by our very own D.A.S.H, where you’ll be transported across the globe (and even into space!) as we give Santa’s sleigh a trial flight before Christmas Eve.
Hold on to your hats and antlers everyone, this could be a bumpy ride!
Located inside the Discovering Durham store, this virtual reality experience offers a perfect family attraction during the festive period!
Ride Timings
From Saturday 25th November
- 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays
- 11:00am – 4:00pm on Sundays
From Friday 15th December
The ride will operate from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm every day and 11:00am – 4:00pm on Sundays, all the way up to and including Christmas Eve.
