Durham Fringe 2026 is on its way, bringing a week of arts, culture, and comedy to the city centre. 

The sixth fringe festival returns 29th July to 2nd August, With 140+ shows across 11 venues across Durham, whether you’re looking for a laugh, some musical entertainment, or to catch a show, there’s something for everyone of every age. 

We’re delighted to welcome Durham Fringe’s Academy, the home of the festival and a new venue for the 2026 festival. The bespoke 70-capacity space will deliver shows across all performing arts genres. Expect theatre, comedy, and cabaret right in the heart of Prince Bishops Place!
