Prince Bishops Place is proud to be the home base for The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), a fantastic charity dedicated to connecting people with nature through hands-on conservation work. Working across County Durham, Teesside and Tyneside, TCV brings together volunteers, schools, community groups and local organisations to improve and protect green spaces through activities such as tree planting, habitat restoration and environmental improvement projects. Serving as the launchpad for these local green initiatives, the TCV hub right here at Prince Bishops Place has been buzzing with activity as volunteers work tirelessly to care for and enhance our regional green spaces.

Looking to get involved and make a real difference this summer? Why not join the TCV team and try your hand at practical conservation work. No experience is needed – everyone is welcome, and all guidance, tools and refreshments are provided.
The best way to get started is to pop into their base at Prince Bishop’s Place, have a chat with the team and find out about upcoming opportunities. Alternatively, you can get in touch by emailing north-east@tcv.org.uk.
Whether you can spare a few hours or want to get involved regularly, now is the perfect time to take part, learn new skills and help care for local green spaces.
